Oils and manicure?

Oskia London

A manicure is a rare treat I offer to myself to fell better on the worst days. It does not help the general mood but at least my nails look pretty. I desperately needed a manicure this week as the pressure of finishing the house is building up. Last minute notice from her: “I did not get the materials I ordered so no manicure until January” I almost choked her out of frustration. It was an hour of calmness I desperately needed. And french tips would look fabulous… oh, well… maybe next time. 🙂

French manicure

These last three days we are not allowed in the house (due to new floors being put in) so I have had a little spa evening at home. Did not do a manicure as I am simply awful at drawing lines. I did use the Asos gift I got these days though. I have made a deep cleansing procedure with DHC cleansing oil, which is almost as good as Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (if not better) – my favorite brand of dry oils. After the cleansing I used Liquid Gold by AlphaH which did wonders to my tired and sad face. It does the job well, indeed. I would repurchase it, but I used so little, the packaging I have now will last a while. The only thing I found as slightly peculiar is directions. There is states that “for an intensive treatment do not follow with a moisturizer”. To me that was counterproductive as a moisturizer intent is to moisten the skin so I used it anyway. The end result was indeed pleasing to the eye.

The last gift, the Oskia Renaissance mask I have not yet tried out. The packaging looks so elegant it makes me want to try it out right now. 😉
